Beach Week

Since everyone I know seems to be coming back from the beach or heading to the beach this week....I hereby declare this TWIST BEACH WEEK! This will probably be one of my favorite blogging weeks ever even though I am not actually at the beach, I love everything about it!So here is my imaginary beach weekend!

Wardrobe Wednesday

The style of Mad Men is everywhere! Everyone is just dying to get some of that Awesome 60's Glam. Sometimes I think maybe that's when I was supposed to be born, I mean I could totally rock some of the clothes and jewels! Everyone just had such swagger...Here are some Mad Men inspired interiors and a new piece from Stella and Dot in their Vintage luxe Colleciton for fall!

The Charlotte Statement necklace from Stella and Dot, aren't you just ready to go vintage shopping and go out to a fun Mad Men themed party? I am! 

Now on to my 60's glam room, I wish I could find some fabulous Black Metallic Vintage Wallpaper, so for not just imagine while I am on the hunt for it!

Tile for Tuesday

Within the next few months I plan on doing a small bathroom renovation....it is TIME for new Tile! I've got the perfect soft gray penny tile picked out for the floor, keeping the wall color neutral, and am going to paint the ceiling to match the floor tile. Eventually i will get around to re-tiling the entire tub surround in a clean glossy white subway tile. I can't wait to get this all taken care of. In the meantime, I'll bring you pictures of bathrooms I love. This one is from an old Domino Magazine. I love the contrast of the black and white in this bathroom.

Have a Coke

Yesterday I stoppped by our local Design Within Reach and came across this awesome new Green Design! 

The 111 Navy Chair

This chair is used by recycling about 111 Coke Bottles! 

The production of this chair is expected to keep over 3 million Coke Bottles out of landfills. 

Amazing! I want one in every color! 

They are very durable and have a great feel to them, you wouldn't know it came from your old coke bottle.

Kelly Green

So I am helping my sister with a little e-designing. She has already decided to have a Kelly Green accent wall. Perfect for Miss Kelly herself! Here are some great Green Rooms I have found for inspiration. Once she finishes her room I will post some pics!

Domino Magazine used to have a great section occasionaly where they took an outfit and turned it into a room. I loved it, perfect blend of Interior Design meets Fashion Design, so I am going to re-create what the geniuses of Domino used to do!

Monday Madness

So I am on this quest right now to save money and to get organized. Apparently the experts say if you are more organized then you'll have a less stressful life. So it seems the clutter in my closets is this hidden stress in my life. So little by little I am de-cluttering! I switched desks at work about 2 weeks ago, it is amazing how much stuff you keep that you don't need. It was such a great feeling to just throw it all away! Old projects....gone, old customer files...good-bye!, old popcorn and tea bags......gross, if i didn't want you as a snack then I certainly don't want you now. Ice Cream Sunday

So I've had a great Sunday afternoon, topped off by some delicious chocolate-peanut butter swirl ice cream a fun end to the afternoon with the bf. Maybe I'm on a sugar high....but I have been inspired by ice cream. So many delicious flavors, so many fun colors!

I love saturdays with nothing to do, it doesn't come often so I've got to take advantage of it. Here is what I would like to be doing today, laying out by one of these gorgeous pool houses. Somehow my condo pool doesn't quite compare. Oh well....a girl can dream!
